Soave Classico Superiore,
Azienda Agricole Pra 2002
Fresh, flowery and lightly yeasty nose with
planty of juicy fruit and zesty 'leesy' intensity backed up by echoes
of almond, light creaminess but finishing with crisp, incisive and
minerally elegance. (2)
Sauvignon
Blanc, Cloudy Bay 2003
Cloudy Bay is internationally recognised as
one of the best producers in the Marlborough region of New Zealand,
consequently their wines are highly sought after particularly the
Sauvignon Blanc. The 2003 vintage is highly aromatic with white peach,
gooseberry and grassy aromas followed by a full lingering palate of
gooseberry and lemon. (1)
Tasting guide: Whites rated 1-5 with 1 the driest &
5 the sweetest. Reds rated A - E with A being the lightest & E
the most full bodied
Chenin Blanc, Morgenhof 2001
Morgenhof
are rated as one of the top five producers in South Africa. This is
a beautiful example of top Chenin with cream & lime flavours on
the palate, perfectly balanced with soft vanilla from oak maturation.

Albarino, Don Pedro 2002/3
Albarino is thought to have
originally been Riesling brought to the Riax Baixas by monks in the
middle ages. The similarities are plausible in this fresh, bright
& peachy, appley flavoured wine. There is a firm backbone of acidity
which keeps the wine structured & just enough fleshiness to give
a mid palate. (2)
