Carmenere,
Vina Casablanca 2001
Vina Casablanca's Santa Isabel vineyards are arguably
situated in just about the best spot in the Casablanca Valley, just
20kms from the cooling influence of the Pacific Ocean. The Carmenere
is highly concentrated with rich berry fruit, a hint of spice and
plenty of tannins to give the wine good structure. (D)
Sharpham Vineyard,

Our nearest vineyard, merely a few miles away, produces
some of the best wines in the country. The 1,000 year old estate is
situated above the stunning River Dart. The estate itself is beautiful,
2 miles downstream from Totnes. The family business consists of a
dairy farm with its herd of 50 Jersey cows, the creamery which creates
a range of cheeses from the jersey milk, and a 14 acre vineyard &
winery producing world class wines.
